First Communion
Despite Johnny having hit her with a dirty wet mop beforehand, we got Jessica to the church with a white dress. Whew! The event was successful. Jessica didn't drop the host. We took a lot of nice pictures and had a reception at my home afterward. I prepared the reception food myself. We served white chili (my own recipe and John helped with the chili), vegetables with homemade hummus, grapes, and an allergen-free spice cross cake with extra cupcakes. The entire meal followed the GFCF (Gluten-free/Casein-free diet) except the beer. Not bad for our humble budget. We had thought of catering from Lupe Tortillas, but we'll think about that again after my husband finishes his law degree... and then we will still probably just make white chili with fancier paper bowls.

she looks so pretty, mama!!
Looks very pretty. Soon you will need to lock her away from all boys for the next 20 years.
