Finding a Mate
No. We certainly weren't a match made in heaven. I will skip our rocky beginning. We each came with our own set of quirks. Quirks that sometimes make each other want to slide out of sight in the passenger seat of the minivan, or perhaps preplan a way to smoothly redirect a conversation at social gatherings, or even wonder inside, "Why am I here?".
But regardless of the entertaining imperfections, it is working. We certainly aren't suffering from any severe relationaship maladies of drug, alcohol, violence, infedelity, or porn abuse. His worst offenses may include staying up too late playing the Webkinz, some fashion and social deficiencies, and some more private matters that aren't for sharing, but hey I'm not complaining. I've got plenty of glaring quirks, but he is popping me popcorn right now anyway.
I like the quirks despite any relay from the media that you have to find 'perfect match'. Love isn't perfect here on Earth. Love requires having less than perfect vision and a lot of work. Seinfeld, George, and Elaine didn't know that. Those characters would shred a potential spouse's quirks apart. They got to be so cynical and mean that I couldn't even find their show funny anymore. Unfortunately I think that show had a huge impact on modern day thinking about love.

No drug, alcohol, violence, infedelity, or porn abuse? What do you people do with all your time? Seriously, that's a great post.
