35 and other stuff
I turned 35 last Thursday and we observed the big moment this past Saturday night. We began the big occasion with taco salads. Then the kiddos and my husband gave me a special picture frame filled with pictures. Each picture had them making a letter with their bodies Sesame Street-style spelling out WE LOVE YOU!! Pretty cute! The first exclamation point they made was particularly funny. The baby was hanging from some male hand from nowhere and Johnny was huddled down as the dot. The baby hanging there just made me laugh. Our cool trampoline champion babysitter (some of you know who that is) came over and we had strawberry shortcake for birthday cake. (I was going to make my favorite carrot cake, but I didn't have time to make it. )
Then off on a date we went. With time to spare before the show we hit Whole Foods. I just had to know if a soy Whipped Cream has been invented yet, because Johnny had to have soy ice cream instead of whipped cream in his shortcake. We were happy to find that Whole Foods now carries the squirting kind of whipped cream in soy. I am going back there later this week and picking up a couple of bottles. If Johnny uses this whipped cream like he uses ketchup, I better get a lot more than that. I figure he'll finish the first bottle rather quickly and after he has his fun, I'll still have another bottle. :)
Now to the real destination... I of course chose to revisit the Radio Music Theatre http://www.radiomusictheatre.com/. We watched a spoof called 'Electile' Dysfunction. We laughed and had a great time. It was great to enjoy a show that didn't have a slant. They made fun of everybody. It was great. Had I been drinking, I would have snarfed my drink.

AAAAHHHHHH!!!!
Bad friend, bad friend! You were over here on your BIRTHDAY and I was clueless to the fact! You mentioned it, and somehow it escaped me that it was your actual birthday (and not some soon to be future date)!
My most abject apologies!!! And a belated happy birthday!!
Happy Birthday, mama!
That was a very cool thing your hubby and kids did for you. I'd love to see the whole thing.
Erin, I skimmed over my birthday on purpose. I wouldn't have mentioned it at all except you had asked if John and I's upcoming date was a special occasion. No apologies necessary. Thank you for the birtday wishes.
Lana, thanks for the birthday wishes. When I get the pics set in the floating frame they are in, I'll show them off. (The frame was presented to me lying down, b/c the pictures will fall inside the frame.) ...Funny thing... John and the kids took those pics in the back halls at Family Space Day... and I thought they were learning about Venus.
