Just a Minute

Just a minute is how long I have to say my piece. Baby-boosky is just going to have to stay in her crib a little longer. Her nap maybe lasted ten minutes? My nerves are a little frayed at this point.

Okay so I take my son to the allergist yesterday, and finally having received all of my son's allergy test records from other allergists, he is suprised to see how allergic my son really is. Thankfully, he can help and unlike other allergists, he has a well thought out game plan. What suprised me is that included in this game plan are tests for IgG (immunoglobin G) responses to foods. This is a welcomed suprise too. My son has only been tested for the IgE responses. IgG responses do not fall under the medical definition of allergy. The medical definition of allergy includes the immunoglobin E (IgE or histamine) immune responses. So the IgG is a different response, but still an immune response. Never has a doctor even suggested this kind of testing before. I have gotten this advice from a chiropractor friend of mine whose advice I respect, but I just wasn't up to going to a chiropractor yet for a number of reasons.

I'll have more to say on this later Babycakes is screaming her head off.

Quick note - I was in an HEB yesterday overhearing 60 to 70 year old ladies talkin trash to each other about their banana breads. I kid you not! These ladies were die hard Thanksgiving bakers. They were showing each other how to pick the right kind of produce and how to make this or that just right. You know they've been waiting for this holiday all year and now are rolling up their sleeves to get going. The other senior ladies were running the aisles of the store like a large hurricane was coming. I must have been the only shopper in the store that wasn't a 60 to 75 year old woman.
