Hallelujah
Woo hoo! He did it! My son is reading! He has gotten through in one sitting reading a book called What is a Wookiee? And he's done it 2 times! Oh the joy!
We have come a long way since the beginning of this school year. Sure he knew some words, but I felt as if we would never get beyond a Dr. Seuss book. Between my son's inability to stay still or focused for more than 3 seconds and my noisy toddler always moaning and demanding attention, I was about ready to send my head through a wall.
I think we will have to celebrate!
(Okay okay. I confess. Part of the problem was my own deficiencies at dealing with a hyperactive young boy. I went from teaching my perfectly studious honor-role-type sitting-up-straight daughter to a distracted energetic class-clown son.)
Note to self - I need to put my I've Got Sunshine Posting at the top of my blog again. It is so much nicer than the other stuff.
