Burdensome Laws

Fortunately there is a voice against the insanity of the Comsumer Product Safety Act http://demint.senate.gov/public/index.cfm?FuseAction=JimsJournal.Detail&Blog_ID=295d58b2-b6fe-c446-1432-24b6199424ed (I'm not endorsing this guy, but in this case he is alright.), but I fear eventually we are all just screwed. Congress is going to keep making laws. Inevitably we will have no choices anymore. (Yes I am sounding a bit fatalistic today. I'll snap out of it.) Besides large companies taking complete control of the children's market... Legislation is often up for consideration for doctors to control midwifery, schools to control home educated students, or the dietician's association to control all nutrition advice. This list of potential takeovers is obviously not comprehensive.

And then there are bailouts. I'm still on the subject of burdensome aren't I? Schools that should have died a long time ago have been consistently bailed out by infusions of tax payer cash. Too many adults livelihoods rely on schools for there to ever be any real education reform or for schools to ever be allowed to die. Now the government has moved this practice to the private sector. Sick. These guys should not be allowed to play with money or make laws.
